Helen Crook completed a successful National Tennis Championships in Bolton.
The 31-year-old Basildon star, who had reached the semi-finals of the ladies' singles before bowing out in three sets to favourite Julie Pullin, went on to make the ladies' double final in partnership with Lorna Woodroffe.
However, once again Pullin proved to be the new towner's downfall.
She was beaten in the ladies singles final, but gained compensation when she partnered Elena Baltacha to a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-1) success over Crook and partner.
It was a good performance by the Basildon player who, in the lead up to the tournament, was warned that if she hadn't had hospital treatment for an irregular heart beat, she could have suffered a stroke.
