New evidence in the hunt for a man who seriously sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman is to be released.
At a press conference on Monday, at Colchester police station, new information will be released in the hunt for a man who carried out the assault on a footpath between Norman Way and Beech Hill, Lexden, on October 10.
Police will also be demonstrating how voluntary DNA testing is being used to aid the search.
Detectives are hunting the man who followed his victim. They believe he may have been to the Hippodrome nightclub, in Colcehster High Street, before the assault.
The man grabbed the teenager, knocked her to the ground and indecently assaulted her, before fleeing towards Norman Way, leaving his victim traumatised.
He is described as being of slim build, about 5ft 10ins tall, in his early 20s with extremely blond hair.
