Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that took place at the BP petrol station in Boreham recently.

Four friends were sitting in their car at about 11.55pm on Sunday October 20 in the service area having some food, when a man of mixed race approached them.

The man went up to one of the friends and demanded money.

When the aggrieved said he did not have any cash, the man punched him in the face and took two gold rings and a mobile phone from him.

The man is described as being in his mid 20s and was wearing a dark hooded top and possibly a white baseball cap.

He made off in a red Fiat Tipo, registration G980 UAR, in which there was a female passenger. She is described as being in her 20s, short and had long blonde hair.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to contact DC Iain Glencross on 01245 212519.
