Residents will soon be able to voice their views on their communities to the labour party over the internet following the launch of its website.
Richard Howitt, Labour Euro MEP for Essex, officially opened the site, which will feature the work of councillors and allow users to say what issues they want tackled.
Kevin Robinson, Labour councillor for St Luke's ward, is Southend Council's Labour representative for the e-government working party
He said: "I wholeheartedly recommend people visit our website and use it as an additional method of giving Labour their views about Southend."
