A florist scooped first prize in a top designer competition for bringing Frankenstein back to life.
Karen Sansom, 28, of Stanford-le-Hope, was named designer of the year at the prestigious Flowergram awards held at the Hilton Hotel, in Bromsgrove.
Owner of First Leaf florist, in Billericay High Street, Karen picked up the award for the best classic Hollywood movie, which she had based on Mary Shelly's epic novel.
She said: "We had to build the set and decorate it with five special flower pieces. I chose Frankenstein for the interesting effects and thought making up the set would be great fun."
Commended for her floristry workmanship, Karen was competing against florists from all over the UK for the trophy and £250 cash prize.
