War veterans in Halstead are showing true Dunkirk spirit by launching an appeal to find a band to lead their Remembrance Day parade.
The annual parade through the centre of Halstead was due to be led by the Suffolk Royals Marching Band.
But the Halstead branch of the Royal British Legion has just heard the band has disbanded and would not be leading the parade on November 10.
Michael Portway, branch president, said: "We don't know what happened but the band has disbanded.
"This leaves us without a band to lead our parade and at this late stage it is a bit of a task to find a new one."
The branch had launched an appeal to find a band for the event.
