The Prime Minister has been bombarded with more than 2,000 appeal forms demanding the Government gives more cash to Little Haven children's hospice.
The Evening Echo's Fair Deal For Sick Children campaign, launched in July, urged readers to unite to get better funding for sick children who use the hospice, in Daws Heath Road, Thundersley.
The Government gives the hospice - the only one of its kind in Essex - just two per cent funding towards its annual running costs.
With £1.4million needed each year, this means Government funding is just £25,000 - the rest is down to public generosity.
A total of 2,172 people responded to the paper's campaign.
