It was a case of honours even in last night's big Thurrock Ryman League Division One North derby.
Tilbury and East Thurrock fought out a 1-1 draw at St Chad's, a result that will be pleasing for Rocks having gone down 1-0 at home to Thurrock's other team from this division, Aveley, last weekend.
Last night it was the turn of Aveley to taste defeat when they were beaten 2-1 at home by high-flying Wealdstone.
All three Thurrock Division One North sides stage home matches on Saturday with Aveley taking on Leyton Pennant, East Thurrock entertaining Harlow in an Essex derby and Tilbury hosting Berkhamsted.
