More than 80 people grasping their treasured possessions queued up to have them priced up at the Heritage Centre in Canvey Road on Sunday afternoon.
The annual event took place between 1pm and 4pm and evaluations, costing just a £1, were carried out by Leigh antiques expert, Peter Stacey.
Heritage Centre secretary Rosemary De Boise said: "It was a wonderful day and a lot of interesting pieces passed through the door. These included some landscape prints which were valued at £2,000. One lady left delighted after her Jack-in-a-box was valued at £50. She had bought it at a jumble sale three years ago for just 25p.
She added: "Peter did a great job as usual and we managed to make £120 which will go towards the upkeep of the centre. I can't thank Peter enough for giving up his time to help."
