Finance workers from Havering gave up some of their spare time to help out at a Harold charity.
Staff from JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management in Romford spent a day at Saint Francis Hospice in Havering-atte-Bower carrying out a major re-varnishing programme. The company also agreed to pay for the costs of the material they used.
Hospice estate manager, Dave Bayfield, said: "The group worked really hard all day, and we were very pleased with them.
"The project saved us a lot of time and money while achieving some important maintenance objectives."
Mr White said: "All of the team thoroughly enjoyed the day and we very much hope we can continue to support the charity as part of our ongoing commitment to the community."
The project was part of the JP Morgan Global Days of Service initiative in which the company seeks to serve the community where its staff live and work.
During the day the team re-varnished the doors, patio doors and wood surfaces in the hospice reception and day unit.
