Colchester Castle has chugged its way into railway posterity.
The ancient building from the country's oldest town has given its name to a new train.
Chuffed to pieces - Bob Russell MP with Tim Clarke, managing director of Anglia Railways, at the naming of the Colchester Castle with members of the Colchester Town Watch.
Town MP Bob Russell unveiled the Class 86 Anglia Railways locomotive at Colchester North Station, while members of Colchester Town Watch looked on.
The naming followed a request by Mr Russell to include the town in Anglia Railways' fleet of trains named after important locations in the region.
Mr Russell, who has several family links with the castle, said: "I'm really chuffed! We think it's the first train ever to have Colchester in its name."
