The final lick of paint is being added to complete a £75,000 revamp of one of the county's oldest cycle shops.
Cycle King - formerly Prentice's - in Wickford, will reopen on November 2 after an 11-week closure.
The store, in London Road, has been entirely remodelled with a new workshop at the back, ground and first floor showrooms and new front window displays.
Mark Baker, managing director of the store, which was taken over by Cycle King about 18 months ago, is excited about the opening.
He said: "It is looking very good and we are very pleased with it. It has taken longer than we anticipated, but we have had a lot more done and spent around £75,000."
The revamp of the shop not only means an estimated 200 bikes can be sold, but it has also provided some job opportunities. There is a vacancy for an assistant manager and the possibility for other new posts.
