A talented writer is waxing lyrical about the publication of his first book of poems.
Bill Brittain, of Oakland Road, Dovercourt, wrote The Little Book of Religious Poetry and has had to order more after its popularity.
The 73-year-old has been writing poetry since his school days but has only just seen his work hot off the press.
He said: "At first, I ordered about 20 and they went to friends but I've had to order 50 more because people are so interested."
Mr Brittain, who has been a long-standing member of Dovercourt Methodist Church, in Oakland Road, said the poems were about church and the Christian faith.
The book is published by Forward Press.
