Pupils at Frinton Primary School are looking forward to moving into their new £1.5m purpose-built school when they come back from an extended half-term in two weeks' time.
Work began last summer to replace the overcrowded school, which dated back to Victorian times, after sharing in a major cash boost following a private-public partnership.
The main benefit has been increased storage space and proper-sized classrooms for the 200-plus pupils.
Pupils and staff, who have been forced to fit in with the building over the past year, have been packing up in readiness for the move for weeks
