Match-winner Kemal Izzet has dedicated the two strikes that won Colchester United three points against Chesterfield to his big brother - Muzzy Izzett of troubled Leicester City.

'These two are for you, big brother' said Kemal as he strode triumphantly off the pitch after shooting the U's to their first victory in eight league and cup games.

Izzet and his team-mates had just seen off Division Two high-fliers Chesterfield in style, 2-0, at Layer Road.

And the pint-sized all-action midfielder lost no time in paying a glowing tribute to his older brother Muzzy, the highly-rated Turkish international striker who plays for Leicester City.

Leicester, deep in debt after falling out of the Premiership, today applied to go into administration as their financial woes deepened.

So perhaps's Kemal's message of support will come as some small consolation to his elder brother.

Celebration time - Kemal Izzet after netting for the U's

Kemal, six years junior to Muzzy, said: "My second goal especially had all the hallmarks of my brother's style of play.

"He's a very good runner with the ball and it's something I would like to do a lot more to improve my game.

"As a kid I used to watch him in action and wish I could play more like him. There were things I was better at than he was and there are things he was much better at doing than me.

"But he's currently suspended so we'll only have my goals to talk about."
