Would-be burglars fled when an alarm went off as they attempted to break into an amusement arcade - leaving behind their tools.
Police were called to the Circus Circus arcade, Marine Parade, Southend, to find one of its first floor windows smashed and a set of tools inside. But suspects had already fled following the incident which happened overnight between Monday and Tuesday.
