Arthritis Care, a leading arthritis charity, is holding a course to help people with arthritis in Essex regain control over their lives.
The Challenging Arthritis Self-Management Course is free to all people over eighteen who have arthritis and consists of two and a half hour weekly sessions over six weeks.
Central Baptist Church, Chelmsford will kick-off the programme on Tuesday 22 October followed by Bishops Park Community Centre, Bishop's Stortford on Wednesday 23 October.
The courses have been run successfully all over the country for the past five years and deal with pain management, fatigue, relaxation, gentle exercise, nutrition, effective communication and dealing with negative feelings.
A Coventry University School of Health study found that people who attended the sessions found themselves to have less pain, anxiety, depression and fatigue. For further information and to reserve a place contact Maggie Sellen on 01223 870885.
