A Salvation Army band in Hadleigh is drumming up local support as it prepares for a major event in London.
Hadleigh Temple Band is soon to star in the Lord Mayor's Show, in the City of London on November 9, alongside other marching bands and music groups.
It is the first time the 40-strong group - which includes students, teachers and workers from a wide range of backgrounds - has taken part in the event.
The group has strong links with William Booth's 1890s Darkest England project when the unemployed were trained on the Salvation Army's farm at Hadleigh.
Half a million onlookers will pack the streets to cheer the newly-elected Lord Mayor of the City of London. It is expected to be watched by three million people on television in Britain.
