Two goals from ex-Billericay Town and West Ham striker Steve Jones put paid to Tilbury's hopes in Division One North.
Jones has now hit the net seven times for the Urchins, pushing hard for promotion.
But the Dockers missed out here after 18 minutes when, with home goalkeeper Paul Wood beaten, Nick Lowe's effort was cleared off the line by Kevin Jopson.
Jones opened the scoring after 24 minutes with a powerful right-foot strike. Tilbury keeper Bell saved well from Jones and Andrew Martin, but the visitors might have got on second-half terms but for Jean-Marie Okita's shot going inches wide.
Jones sealed the points with 17 minutes left by heading home Martin's superb cross. Tilbury host East Thurrock in a local derby tomorrow.
