Police are appealing for information after car tyres were slashed by vandals in Walton and Frinton.
Insp Kevan Griggs, of Clacton police, said there were four reports of tyres being slashed in Rochford Way, Frinton.
He said in one case, about £300 of damage was caused when four tyres were slashed on a silver Fiat car, between 8pm on Thursday and 7am Friday.
Insp Griggs said two other reports were made of tyres being slashed in Rochford Way on Thursday night.
On Saturday night, a blue Volvo had a tyre punctured in Frietuna Road, Frinton, and in Baynards Crescent, Kirby, two tyres were slashed on a Toyota car.
In Maltings Road, Brightlingsea, vandals caused about £100 of damage to a tyre and put superglue in a petrol cap lock during Thursday night.
The officer said two tyres were slashed on a Renault Laguna car in Skyrmans Fee, Kirby, on Friday night.
Then, some time between 6pm Tuesday and 8.30am Saturday, three tyres were cut on a Citroen car in High Street, Walton.
Insp Griggs added: "We are linking these crimes. Anyone with information that could help us catch the people responsible should contact Clacton police on 01255 221312."
