Rayleigh claimed top spot in Men's Division One courtesy of a walkover against Westcliff Lawn.
The visitors were unable to field a team, so Rayleigh picked up six points to put them two points clear of Westcliff Hard.
Leigh Road Baptist's Sharon Kyprianou and Carol Spurling beat Vicky Edmunds and Debbie Gray of Westcliff Hard IV when the latter two could not play the last set of their match due to injury.
Westcliff's Rosie Smith and Chris Hanson won their match 6-1 6-3 against Alison Lewis and Marian Ramm to put the visitors ahead.
And the one set Vicky and Debbie won in their match was sufficient to give Hard a 3-2 win and four points.
