Public opinion has been invited for a million pound revamp project at a Southend church.
St John's Church, in Church Road, behind the Royals shopping centre, is consulting the public on how to spend £1million on turning the church into a cultural centre for the town.
Church members will be in the Royal's shopping centre this Saturday from 9am until 3pm, with a display showing the proposed new development to the church, graveyard and surrounding area.
Kay Ward, coordinator of the consultation programme, said: "We would like the people of Southend, especially ones with an affinity to St John's, to come along and give their opinions as to what they would like to see in the new development."
