Tony Mowbray is determined to cap his first week in football management with three points at the Madejski Stadium.
The Ipswich caretaker-boss has made no secret of his desire to become George Burley's successor at Portman Road.
And he knows that in order to land the coveted job, success tomorrow would be the best possible way to stake his claim.
Mowbray, who guided the Blues to a 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, told the Evening Gazette: "I've really enjoyed my first week but the icing on the cake would be three points at Reading.
"They had a difficult start to the season but seem to have sorted their problems out and it'll be a tough game.
"Having said that, I'm confident. I've seen a glint in the players' eyes this week which suggests they're responding to the ideas I've instilled in them."
