Mark Venus expects Ipswich Town to reap the rewards of a restful week in tomorrow's clash at Reading.
After a hectic spell of four games in ten days, the Blues have had time to recharge batteries and rest weary legs before tomorrow's trip to Berkshire.
And Venus told the Evening Gazette: "There's been a lot of pressure on the lads in the last month or so.
"Playing so many games can be draining but now they look noticeably more relaxed.
"They've had time to sharpen up and I think that could make a big difference.
"The situation we find ourselves in at the moment is not easy to deal with.
"But a couple of wins, back-to-back would give us the confidence to climb the table."
Tony Mowbray is looking for his second win as caretaker-boss, following last weekend's 2-1 success against Sheffield Wednesday.
