Shopkeepers are fuming today after they claimed roadworks on London Road in Southend are leaving them thousands of pounds out of pocket.
One trader has had to lay off staff because of disruption caused by the works which form part of Southend Council's town regeneration plan.
Now shop owners on the stretch of shops have formed a group to take their protest to council officers.
