It's like history is repeating itself as Colchester's first lady is marching again.
The ancient warrior queen Boadicea has been moved as the Northern Approaches road takes shape.
The 16ft sculpture was moved from the Asda roundabout by heavy lifting equipment yesterday morning
Steady - the statue tilts as it is secured
Bury St Edmunds-based sculptor Jonathon Clarke was on hand to oversee the operation.
Boadicea had her 8ft long hair unbolted before she was uprooted and loaded on to a steel platform aboard a waiting lorry.
She will be taken away for cleaning and polishing before she is repositioned.
