Early season league leaders Witham Town were simply no match for a rampant Brentwood Town at Spa Road on Sunday.
Playing a wing back formation for the first time to exploit the very wide pitch, Brentwoods passing was fluent and incisive from the start with Vicky Jenkins and Vikki 'Freddie' Moore combining especially well down the right.
Up front Jade Edwards and Olivia Worsfold had too much power and pace for the Witham defence.
Brentwood raced into a four goal lead in the first 20 minutes with Worsfold and Edwards getting a brace each as the passing and movement of the whole team proved too much for the home side.
Witham had a brief spell of pressure towards the end of the first half when they pulled one back and they attacked in greater numbers after the break but to little avail as the goals kept coming for Brentwood.
In the second half, the focus of Brentwood's attacks switched to the left where Kerry Mills and Mel Webb found plenty of space to exploit. Webb went very close on three occasions but Mills capped another fine performance with two well taken goals.
The only blot on the afternoon was the sending off of Edwards and a Witham defender for fighting in the 71st minute of an otherwise good natured match.
