Nigel Howe has set a new target for the highest break of the season in the Vic Harris Snooker League.
He produced a 96 for Wickford A in their rearranged First Division match with Romford, which ended 6-6.
Daniel Piper had breaks of 60 and 56 for Basildon A, 9-3 winners over Westcliff.
The new towners, lying second, are just two points behind the leaders, Southend's Pockets, who had a close encounter at Keith Davis before winning 7-5.
Piper now joins Gary Fardell (Pockets) with most breaks over 35 so far on six. Chris Payne helped Canvey's Starr B to a 6-6 draw with Shell A with a break of 59.
In Division Two, Basildon's Q Ball, held 6-6 by Essex A, have been joined at the top by Southern. They beat Shoebury's Cue and Rest 9-3.
