A Thundersley recreation ground could become an alcohol-free zone if councillors and locals agree.
Members of the local area forum are set to discuss implementing a ban on anti-social drinking in Common Lane Recreation Ground when they meet on October 23.
However, in a report to the forum, John Waugh, borough secretary at Castle Point Council, warned making an order would not necessarily lead to a complete ban on drinking in the area.
