A return to the North Bank for Southend United supporters has moved a step closer, Ron Martin revealed today.
The Third Division club's co-owner said Blues had completed a report on the proposed switch following a meeting with Roots Hall's safety chiefs last week.
And he also confirmed the cost of reopening the North Bank turnstiles to home fans had been put out to tender.
"Following our meeting with the safety committee and the findings of our own report a final decision over the North Bank has been left in the club's hands," he said.
