Southend Swifts won through to the second round of the National Cup after knocking the London Towers down to size.
Vikki Willmore led the way with 26 points -- including a flawless eight from eight foul shots.
Towers had a height advantage and took a 19-13 lead at the start of the second quarter, but a defensive change paid dividends.
Trailing just 24-23 at the break, Swifts scored 10 unanswered points to put themselves ahead for good. Willmore contributed nine points in the quarter as Southend broke the game open.
Despite Towers' height advantage, the rebounding of Louise Robinson, Lindsay Jones and Hannah Wilhelmy -- back after injury -- ensured Swifts retained their lead.
Swifts led 52-39 with two minutes remaining and although England cadet Kate Butters scored five points for Towers, Swifts would not let victory slip though their fingers.
