Two men are travelling 3,500 miles - to run another 26 for charity.
Chris Kelly, 26, and Grant Ellis, 24, who live in Wickford, are taking part in the New York marathon to raise money for autistic children and their helpers.
The race takes place on November 3, tying in with the National Autistic Society's 40th anniversary celebrations.

Grant, from West Beech Avenue, said: "It is a challenge but it's for such a great cause. We are running for the parents and helpers as well as for the kids themselves."
Chris has a special reason to join 30,000 others at the start line, as he has first-hand experience of autism.
He said: "My sister has autism so this race marks a special personal challenge for me."
Before they head for the Big Apple, Chris and Grant will spend their evenings jogging miles in and around Wickford.
