Shrimpers fans battling for a return to the North Bank at Roots Hall today expressed their delight at the way a newspaper's campaign is progressing.
Just over a week after the call was first heard from the Evening Echo's campaign, Southend United chiefs are looking at the possibility of switching back to the traditional home end.
And supporters backing the campaign have vowed to continue to make their voices heard and work with the club to achieve their ambition.
"The response has been good so far, there has been lot of positive feedback," said Dave Scriven, who has helped run the campaign on ShrimperZone.com. "I'm pleased I'm not the only one who thinks we should move.
"It's just over a week now since the campaign got going and it's got a lot bigger than we ever thought it would.
"Plenty of people have come on board and obviously with the Echo's help it's reached more people."
Club co-owner Ron Martin is this week expecting a report into the feasibility of a move from Blues deputy chairman Geoffrey King, which will cover the logistics and cost of any switch.
