A headteacher and her deputy have resigned from their posts following the completion of investigations into the way they dealt with an allegedly abusive pupil.
Parents at Lyons Hall School in Braintree were told the news on Friday in a letter confirming the inquiry into allegations against headteacher Hilary Mynott, 44, and Chris Webb, 29, had concluded.
The two were suspended from their posts at the school in Deerleap Way in July while the inquiry took place.
The investigation followed a complaint made by the mother of a 10-year-old pupil who said he was gagged with sticky tape and sat on by teachers while on a school trip to Wales.
