Nigel Box has been sacked as Harwich and Parkeston's manager in a meeting with chairman Tony Armstrong.

The Shrimpers poor run of results, leaving them bottom of the Jewson League premier division, prompted the decision. Box said: "It has been reported that I left by mutual consent. But, I was sacked. However, I did part on good terms with the chairman."

Armstrong will take over first-team duties until a successor is found
