Wakering's miserable Ryman League Division One North home form continued on Saturday as Oxford's Mark Simms taught them a finishing lesson.
Rovers are unbeaten away from home in the League, but at Burroughs Park have tasted success just once in six starts.
Skipper Danny Scopes, back from a one-match ban, put a sixth-minute effort over the top for the village side.
But Oxford soon put together some good one-touch moves which saw Shaun Wimble's low cross from the right pushed away by Dean Mahoney in the home goal.
At the other end Danny Pitts forced a good save from visiting keeper Steve Benbow, but the first half remained goalless.
Oxford pegged Wakering back on defence after the break with Matty Whitehead shooting inches wide and, on the hour, Simms hit the post with a rebound after Mahoney had saved from Jamie Charles.
However, the game was settled when Simms converted a cross from the right to end Wakering's run of three games without defeat.
