A Thurrock councillor has hit out at the notice to quit given to the borough's allotment holders.
Earnshaw Palmer - who represents Chafford Hundred ward - said: "Despite its promises to listen to the views of allotmemnt plot holders, Thurrock Council's serving of termination notices has not been reassuring."
