A litter hotline is set to clear rubbish-strewn Castle Point streets.
It was announced by Castle Point Council leader Dave Wells as part of a ground-breaking clean-up campaign.
Residents are fed up with litter and the council wants to clear the mess fast.
Soon, anyone who spots a mountain of junk can ring just one number to get it cleared.
Mr Wells, who hopes to involve the high profile Keep Britain Tidy campaign, said: "We will ask residents to let us know where the most untidy areas are. We will also be changing our working rosters for areas that need more attention."
