Seventy-one-year-old Dolly Good doesn't plan to take the stairs or lift next time she visits this high-rise block of flats. She has volunteered to take part in a charity abseil down the side of the 14-storey block of flats to raise money for St Luke's Hospice.
Dolly, from Fremnells, Basildon, was at the block in Chadwell St Mary yesterday to see exactly what she had volunteered for ... a 150ft rope trip down the side of the building with Mike Porter from Essex FM on Sunday, September 22.

Allison Jones, from St Luke's, said: "Dolly's always keen to help out in any way she can. We are asking anyone who takes part in the event -- hopefully more than 100 -- to get their names in early in order to secure a place."
Allison added: "No charge is ever made to patients and their families -- help us by taking part in this event to raise just part of the £963,800 needed each year to offer the hospice's service."
