Tiptree have scored nine goals in their opening two games of the season - while dismal Harwich have conceded ten.
The Shrimpers gave the ball away far too cheaply but had initially bounced back from a two-goal deficit.
The visitors took the lead after 14 minutes when Danny Rochester was hauled down in the box.
Paul Champ stepped up to take the resultant penalty and gave debut keeper Thomas Layzell no chance with a well-struck shot.
Harwich worked the best move of the match when, on 30 minutes, some slick passing ended with a shot from Robbie May that Bavester, in the Tiptree goal, did well to save.
The visitors went on to double their advantage, with an angled shot from Steve Wareham, before the home side staged a dramatic fight back.
Matt Hearn's splendid individual strike reduced the arrears before Robbie May ran from midfield to score with a thumping header.
Harwich started the second half with something of a flurry.
Their best chance came from a powerful Matt Hearn drive that forced Bavester to make an outstanding save.
But Tiptree re-took the lead with a terrific 20-yarder from Steve Wareham.
And the Jam-makers made sure of the points with the last kick of the game from Dave Barefield
