A book of condolence has been opened at Chelmsford Cathedral in response to requests following the deaths of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
Tony Allen, press spokesman for the cathedral, said they had received quite a number of calls asking for a book to be opened so that people could write their messages.
"It is something that has touched the hearts of the whole country and of Chelmsford. We are responding to the numerous requests we have had."
