Former Seasiders boss Mick Potter was banished from the touchline as his new charges hit the goal trail at Rush Green Bowl.
Sam Banya was the hero with a well-taken brace - one of his strikes a hotly contested penalty - before Scott Witney sealed victory with a long-range thunderbolt.
The strangest sight of the night, however, was that of joint-manager Potter shouting instructions from the stand behind the dug-outs.
He was given his marching orders in the closing stages for arguing with the referee over an alleged elbow on Steve Dobson.
Maldon's Mark Adams had earlier been dismissed for his second bookable offence.
Banya fired his side into the lead on the stroke of half-time, slotting home a penalty after being tripped by Seasiders keeper Darren Gould.
And the prolific marksman made it 2-0 ten minutes after the break, controlling the ball with his back to goal before turning and volleying past Gould.
Maldon's third strike was just as impressive, netted from long-range by Witney.
