Police hunting a gang of youths who robbed a man at gunpoint are now seeking four men in connection with the incident.
The robbery, which occurred in South Woodham Ferrers, saw a man threatened with what officers believe to be a handgun before being kicked and punched to the ground by members of a group of three hooded men.
However, police say new pictures in their possession suggest the gang may have had one more member than was originally thought.
The gang attempted to rob a second man minutes after the first attack but their intended victim fled.
A cash card was stolen during the first attack, which the attackers then attempted to use to withdraw £50 from a cash dispenser at Barclays Bank in Wickford High Street.
CCTV cameras in the town showed the three hooded men, believed to be white and aged between 16 and 19, outside the bank.
While there, one member's hood dropped down to reveal his head.
The gang member whose hood was down was described as having a close shaved head, fair hair and a fair complexion.
Anyone with information on the incident should contact police on 01245 320333.
