Chelmsford-based soft drinks company Britvic Soft Drinks has finalised the acquisition of the Red Devil energy drink.
The deal will see production of Red Devil taking place at Britvic's Widford factory, where the J20 fruit juice drink is also made.
This move will further increase production levels at the Chelmsford site.
Launched in 1998, Red Devil enjoys high levels of awareness among consumers and is currently a leading player in the UK's £750m energy drinks market.
Commenting on the acquisition, Britvic's managing director Stephen Davies said: "The introduction of Red Devil to the factory at Widford, home of Britvic Soft Drinks, is an excellent opportunity for us to grow the brand further, and highlights the important role that the site plays in enabling future growth."
