Residents who want their council tax reduced due to the state of their road have been told there is no chance of that happening.
People living in Milton Road, Lawford, unhappy at the state of their road, which is unadopted, asked the parish council to see if they could have a reduced council tax due to the problem.
A letter from the valuation office said the tax could only be lowered if there was evidence to show the original bands were too high.
Previously some residents had appealed against their band, but failed to persuade a valuation tribunal.
The letter said: "There is unfortunately no evidence to show that property values have been significantly and adversely affected to the extent that lower council tax bands are warranted."
Chairman Brian Rolfe said: "From reading the officer's explanation we have been down that road before and he does not intend to go down it again."
He said he had asked county councillor Sarah Candy to see if the county council could look into the matter again.
