Billericay went top of the Ryman League Premier Division with a comprehensive win at Borehamwood last night.
Looking to follow up Saturday's success at home to Harrow Borough, Town fielded an attack-minded formation in Hertfordshire. Early indications however suggested that the visitors were in for a frustrating night with the hosts comfortably repelling their long ball game.
A spate of passing moves soon started paying dividends though, and four minutes before half-time Paul Fewings made the breakthrough. The striker was soon joined on two league goals in two games by Mark Brennan who confidently tucked away a penalty shortly afterwards.
The best was yet to come though for the vocal travelling support, with Lee Williams smashing home a 25-yard volley with 18 minutes left to play and the points seemed assured.
The hosts pulled one back late on when Andy Douglas was afforded too much space in the box, though Town will be encouraged by their form over the first two matches as they look to mount a serious challenge on the Isthmian Championship.
