India and Essex have drawn their match at the County Ground, Chelmsford.
The tourists decided to use the match as a work out ahead of their next Test encounter with England.
India eventually declared their second innings on 327-6 with the high score coming from Virender Sehwag who made 142 before he was caught by Essex bowler Ravinder Bopara.
The best figures for the Essex bowlers came from Mark Ilott who ended with figures of 4-67.
India had already made an impressive first innings total of 516 with Essex making 279 in their first innings.
Essex were given the chance to see the final day's play out with opener Richard Clinton making 53 before being dismissed and Bopara ending with an undefeated 47.
