A drug courier has been jailed for three years after he was caught with £72,800 worth of cannabis.

Carlos Francinet was stopped at Harwich after arriving on a ferry from The Hook with two holdalls, a court heard.

He said one of the bags was his, while he was carrying the other locked bag for someone else.

Customs officers found 26 kilos of cannabis when they opened the locked bag on June 30, Chelmsford Crown Court was told.

Dutch national Francinet, 51, admitted a smuggling charge when he appeared in court
