A man and teenage boy were injured when a car overturned at a roundabout and ended up on its roof.
The Renault Clio tipped over as it went around the Cranes Farm roundabout in Basildon at about 9.50pm on Wednesday.
The driver, a 20-year-old from Basildon, suffered serious cuts to his head and leg injuries. His passenger, a 16-year-old also from the town, broke his arm and cut his face.
Both were kept in hospital overnight for treatment.
