Vandals attacked Chelmsford Sea Cadet Unit late on Monday, breaking three large windows with bricks and stones.
The attack happened between midnight on August 12 and 10am on August 13 at the unit on the Empire Walkway, which backs on to the River Chelmer.
The Sea Cadets is based on the Royal Navy and trains young people aged between 10 and 18 in Seamanship. There are 60 Cadets at the Chelmsford Unit.
Commanding Officer, Lieutenant David Lincoln, said: "People are constantly taking their frustrations out on the building. We have had boats, the windows and the minibus vandalised in the past."
"Our boats get released down the weir and get damaged. One of our boats was chained to a mooring and because the vandals couldn't release it they sank it."
He added that the damage to the unit has cost the Cadets Unit nearly £600 and was a huge drain on the resources of the charity.
